...as late as possible, as early as necessary...

Mico Pro is Murrelektronik's innovative power monitoring system for use in 12 and 24 VDC applications with patented switch-off technology. Thanks to its modular structure, the system can be precisely tailored to the required application. This results in a very favourable cost-benefit effect.

In addition, the system can be used very flexibly and takes up very little space. The patented switch-off characteristic ensures that your machine remains optimally usable. An additional advantage: an integrated concept for the distribution of potential that significantly reduces the amount of wiring in the switch cabinet.

Mico Pro stands for:

  • Modular - down to the last channel
  • Integrated potential distribution concept - for a significant simplification of the control cabinet wiring
  • Easy handling - tool-free assembly
  • Diagnosis - on-site or via the control unit
  • Channel-related switching - replaces additional interface modules
  • Full Power - with integrated AC/DC power supply

ImageThis intelligent system from Murrelektronik ensures consistent protection of all load and control currents and recognises critical moments in time. Mico Pro detects limit loads and switches off the affected channels in a targeted manner, in order to prevent a complete power failure and thus to guarantee the highest possible level of machine utilisation. The patented switch-off characteristic works according to the principle: "As late as possible, as early as necessary" because TIME IS MONEY!

With MICO Pro, you save time as well as money. The MICO pro can be switched on and off directly via the control system (PLC), so no contactors, relays or optocouplers are required, and the convenient integrated potential distribution also makes additional terminals superfluous.

These are just some of the advantages of the MICO Pro. Want to see all the features?

There is something in the air
Supply lines can easily be overlooked and thus create additional accident hazards at the workplace. Poorly laid compressed air hoses or extension cables are not only a tripping hazard, but also a nuisance during transport and are not to be underestimated as a source of danger, especially when great importance is attached to the swift running of work processes.

    SNAP IN
With SNAP IN, installation and maintenance work can be performed just as quickly as snapping your fingers. The new connection is, in principle, just as simple as it is to use: the stripped conductor is inserted directly into open connection points, and snaps into place with an audible “click”. The other way round is just as fast. The connection point can be re-opened simply by pushing on the lever and removing the connected conductor.

    Yes we can….with Phoenix
Machine and plant manufacturers that export their products to North America or wish to put them into circulation within their area of applicability are subject to the laws and regulations applicable there. One of the most important industry-specific standards in addition to the NEC is NFPA 79. NFPA 79 is revised every three years in line with the NEC and adopts its innovations.

    The newest technology sooner
At Ronetic, “using fewer hands” is the most important issue for customers. It means automation and robotisation, though preferably in a manageable and affordable way, so the trick is to keep a hold over how complex the technology is. This can be done by setting up the control in a clear and organised way, for example, and by combining components where possible. For centralised control, itsme recommended a new I/O system from Festo with an integrated valve island.

    Tailor-made training packages
DHL Aviation in Brussels Airport invests heavily in training and education in order to improve knowledge levels internally and its position on the labour market externally. Breemes contributes to this with a foundation course in PLC for maintenance technicians. The knowledge they gain from this helps them in matters such as programming operations in a more energy-efficient way. As well as this, DHL Aviation is also looking at other courses, such as the Profibus malfunction solution course, that Breemes runs. The sustainable, malfunction-free collaboration is discussed here below.

    Dispensing soft, medium or firm
These days, soft, medium or hard has become a championship question. While for Belgian-Dutch Formula 1 driver Max Verstappen it will mean tyres, Radium Foam in Maastricht is dealing with a similar question involving the production of pillows. The pillows they make come in three varieties: soft, medium and firm. For that distinction to be done properly during production, the raw materials need to be dispensed very accurately – itsme was able to recommend a very suitable solution for this in the form of Siwarex WP251 weighing electronics from Siemens.
