The modules of the first-generation SIMATIC S7-1200 will be announced for phase-out as of 01-11-2026.
Important Information: Phase-Out of SIMATIC S7-1200 G1
For optimal project planning, we want to inform you transparently about the planned lifecycle of the first-generation SIMATIC S7-1200:
- Official start of phase-out: The SIMATIC S7-1200 (G1) family will be officially phased out on November 1, 2026.
- Availability as a new component: After this date, the SIMATIC S7-1200 (G1) will remain available to order as a new component for one additional year, until October 31, 2027. This allows sufficient time for careful planning and smooth completion of ongoing projects.
- Long-term availability of spare parts: To ensure support for your existing systems, the availability of SIMATIC S7-1200 (G1) modules as spare parts is planned for an additional 9 years after the end of new component availability.
SIMATIC S7-1200 G2: The new standard in automation
The SIMATIC S7-1200 G2 is the natural successor to the S7-1200 controller family. This generation has been developed to meet the increasing demands of modern automation solutions and offers a range of important advantages:
